On my way...

Well at least in my heart and mind I'm on my way to Austin...
Welcome to the world sweet William Brian Chubick...I love you to pieces and I haven't even met you yet!! Two of my favorite people in the world have been given an amazing gift in their second son and I couldn't be happier that he is healthy and will be going home soon. It pains me to no end that I'm not able to catch the next flight out but I know I will be seeing you all soon.

Congratulations Cici and Bri Bri!!

A very happy Turkey Day...

We enjoyed such a fun visit from Clay's parents this Thanksgiving. Paige loves her grandparents more than ever and had so much fun spending time with them. Walking to one of many trips to the park with Meme...
Climbing up the hill time and time to roll down with Meme and Popz. (or Poppy as Paige calls him) Noticeably absent from all pictures is Paige's mom who was able to get lots of rest and have some down time!! Thank you Meme and Popz!

Reading stories at bedtime with Meme...

And the funniest thing ever...Paige requested that Popz brush her teeth. My child is the worst ever teeth-brusher and practically throws a fit every night. It takes both Clay and I to get the job done. However when asked who she wanted to brush her teeth, she said "Poppy" and sat there on her bed totally relaxed with her mouth open for her to brush. Unbelievable!!!

So thankful...

My last post of hoping for a week of recovery didn't exactly go as planned...my illness turned in to pneumonia which landed me in the hospital for five days. However, I am so thankful as things could have been much worse and I am happy to say baby boy is doing great and I'm on the road to recovery. This little video clip is what Clay brought to me while I was in the hospital of sweet Paige. I couldn't be more thankful for my wonderful husband who has been mom, dad, cook, chauffeur, my support and so much more this week. My mom and sister were so helpful too and I could not have gotten through this week without them. Clay's parents are coming in town this week too which will be so fun and such a big help. Overall, I really can say I feel like the most blessed person in the world.

"Tall Sick"

Well this has been quite a week around here at Chez Zachry. A nasty respiratory virus invaded Paige on Sunday and made its way to me by Wednesday. Paige has substituted somehow the word "tall" for "big or really big". She explained that she was "little sick" and mommy was "tall sick." She repeated it all week that I found myself even telling people I was "tall sick." (translation=really sick) We survived multiple doctor visits, one urgent care visit, and even a trip to the ER. Fortunately Clay managed to stay well so we could have someone take care of us. This was pretty much what I saw all week...

Paige on the couch with anything she wanted...she pretty much survived on pretzels, fruit, and milk. Of course she was given unlimited "boppas" (lollipops) and episodes of Dora the Explorer. She even got a new Dora nightgown that she loves.

And through it all we had our faithful friend Annie by our sides to snuggle with!
Here's to a new week-hopefully of full recovery!

A few firsts...

Paige recently had her first official haircut...yes I've chased her around the house many times with scissors to even her hair out but this was getting out of control. She wouldn't sit in the chair alone so we had some fun group shots! Enjoying the feel of her shorter cut!
I was gone for a good part of the day Saturday so Daddy decided to...paint her toe nails!! I was so impressed.
I love these chubby little feet...notice the dirt on them. What in the world were they up to??

And just for fun...Paige's new favorite game. Building a fort with pillows and hiding. Her Nene showed her this one...and believe me, everyone has to take a turn.

The prettiest princess...

Paige was the prettiest princess I saw this year on Halloween in my view...here she is ready to go to her parade and party at school. She was so excited because her auntie and grandparents came to see her in the parade. Such swagger in this picture... Well the swagger turned sour when she figured out she needed to walk with her class around the playground in front of everyone...yours truly got to walk her around in my arms while her classmates walked themselves.
Here she is fully recovered at the party eating a gigantic iced ghost cookie.

And the precious princess in all her glory...

Halloween was so fun this year...we met friends for Trick or Treating in the downtown village area. Paige was excited about getting candy but when she realized there was pretty much an unlimited supply and all she had to do was put her bucket out in front of her, she just said "more, more." And needless to say going to sleep that night with her bucket of candy staying downstairs took some coaxing. At 6 am all I heard from the hallway outside our bedroom door was "where my candy go??"

Gramps comes for a visit...

My dad came out last weekend for a visit from the east coast...Paige said he came on a "deen pane." (green plane) She was treated to her favorite restaurant Ruby's for lunch...as a parent this is now considered fine dining. We played dress-up at Nene's house. Clearly she got in to the newlywed's dress up box as evidenced by this french maid costume...
Making phone calls with Nene...
Climbing the tree at the park with Daddy...
Paige loves to "fy" (fly) through the park...Gramps took the opportunity to fly with her.

We love you Gramps!!!
